Okay, Harmonix, what is the deal with 1,024,616?

For those who aren't presently consumed with Rock Band, 1,024,616 is the maximum number of fans your band can attain when the lowest difficulty level currently in play is Hard (if you're already past it you get a 100% devoted message, but you don't fall back down to this level just for going on a lower setting again).

I just did a charity event (RAWK-AID) with a double or nothing modifier (media coverage), using my best 3 songs on Expert Bass/Expert Vocals (Maps, All the Small Things, and More than a Feeling), and I gained... 1,024,616 fans.

I can understand 1,048,576 (2^20), 1,000,000 (10^6), 1,000,003 (first prime after 10^6), 1,048,573 (closest prime to 1,048,576), 1,024,613 (closest prime to their weird number), 1,346,269 (first Fibonacci number after 10^6), or... well; lots of numbers. But 1,024,616? I just don't see it.

* Not a power of two
* Not a (power of two) minus one
* Not a prime
* Not a Fibonacci
* Not a palindrome (at least not in base 10, 2, 8, or 16)
* Not a word in hex (1,027,565; 1,027,309)

It just confuses me.
